Travis Grant

He comes from a canoe background and made marks in SUP by winning the 2011 elite men’s race at the Battle of the Paddle Hawaii and by taking first in the mens 14 ft. at the Hawaii Kai race. He is one of Australia’s best SUP and OC1 racers. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

kailenny-supKai Lenny is a Stand up Paddle (SUP) surfer and racer from Maui, Hawaii. He is only 18 but already leaving a mark.  He was the winner of the 2011 SUP world tour Sunset Beach Pro and also the won the 2011 SUP world tour La Torche, France Pro.  He was 9th at the Battle of the Paddle Hawaii Kai Run. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

Eric Terrien is a Stand up Paddle (SUP) racer from France. He recently took 1st in the 12’6 race at the Hawaii Kai Run, the surf & race North Point SUP Classic, and the elite race at the Maxime SUP Race Cup. He was also the 2011 SUP Race French Champion winning 3 titles from 3 races. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

Anthony Vela

He recently won the elite class of the 2011 Carolina Cup as well as the 3-man at the Catalina Challenge with Rob Rojas and Tom Gallagher. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

robrojas-supRob Rojas is a Stand up Paddle (SUP) racer from California. Rob is an all around waterman and started SUP in 2006.  He hopes that when SUP makes it to the Olympics, he will be there as an athlete or coach. Rob recently paddled for 24 hours to fight against sex slavery. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

Danny Ching

dannychin-sup Danny Ching is a Stand up Paddle (SUP) racer from California. Before SUP he paddled canoes. This year he won the 2011 distance race at the Battle of the Paddle and took 2nd in the elite race. He also won the Hawaii Kai race and the 2011Orange Bowl with a 2nd in the M2M race. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

Larry Cain

larrycain-supLarry Cain is a Stand up Paddle (SUP) racer from Canada. He competed in three summer Olympic games winning a gold medal in the C-1 500 m and a silver medal in the C-1 1000 m in 1984. Although newer to SUP, he took 1st place in the Elite 12’6 race at the 2011 ColdStroke Classic, his first race! Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?

Dan Gavere

dangavere-supDan Gavere is a Stand up Paddle (SUP) racer from Oregon.  He is the ultimate white water man who does SUP with river surfing, surf, racing and rapids. He is a 2 x whitewater SUP champion and just won the 3 mile sprint and SUP cross events at the Rocky Mtn. Surf Festival and the 10th annual Teva Mtn. Games. Should he be SUP man of the year 2011?
