The fourth edition of the Morbihan Paddle Trophy Ouest-France will be held on July 1st and 2nd in the breathtaking Golfe du Morbihan – Southern Brittany – France. The area is well-known for its currents and eddies which makes races technical and challenging.
On Tuesday the 12th of January, a group of six stand up paddlers, invitee riders of the Paddle Storm Master event including the likes of Eric Terrien and Martin Letourneur, gathered for a crazy downwind in the “Rade de Brest, Brittany”, to try the first course option and the safety facilities before the official event.
Werner Paddles ambassador Fiona Wylde is off a pretty big trip overseas getting to explore and race in Asia and Europe as she competes in a series of SUP events and races over the summer. Young up and comer Lexi Alston traveled to Europe this year to take part in the Euro SUP Tour and while there stayed with Martin Letourneur and his family in Saint-Malo. In the days following the tragedies in Paris, many were unsure if the 2015 Nautic SUP Crossing in Paris, France would go on as planned. We’re happy to report that the iconic race did go on as planned and it was an amazing day on the Seine river. The highlights video from this event is in the video below, take a look and enjoy!
At the 2015 French National SUP Championships it was European powerhouses Titouan Puyo and Celine Guedson who took the 2015 championship. After a long weekend of racing, Puyo and Guedson slayed both the long distance race as well as the technical race for the men and women, giving the the two athletes an outstanding lead against their competitors and the overall victories for the event.
Ever dream of going on a paddle boarding trip with four of your closest friends? Well that is exactly what this group of five Frenchmen did. SUPrise Paddle is the name of a group that consists of these five friends. They travel around and make short documentaries of their travels.
Steeve Fleury and Robert Etienne went on a inspiring SUP expedition Saturday June 13th 2015. They crossed the line of the Bol d’Or with some 500 sailboats to make through an epic day on lake Léman, marked by many challenges. Read more about the expedition here.
Earlier last week, the biggest race of the year in Paris where over 400 participants had gathered to compete in the 5th Annual Nautic SUP Paris Crossing, saw FCS SUP's Casper Steinfath come out as the overall winner of the event.
