On Sunday October 7th 2018, the vessel traffic in the Corinth Canal was interrupted for 434 paddlers, where they lined up just before the sinking bridge of Isthmia for the 8th Annual Corinth Canal SUP Crossing. This year the race was a milestone for the sport of SUP in Greece but also for the event itself.
On Sunday September 30th 2018, the naval traffic of the famous Corinth Canal will be stopped by AEDIK, to allow for more than 300 stand up paddlers to compete in the "World’s Straightest SUP Race.”

At this year's event the 2017 Greek National Team was selected for competition later this year at the ISA World SUP Championships in Denmark.
