4th Annual Standup Muskegon Event Raises $100K

Standup for the Cure, the nationwide stand up paddling event that has raised over a million dollars to support breast cancer detection, treatment and education, announced today that its sold-out Standup Muskegon event raised over $100,000, surpassing fundraising efforts in much larger cities.

Portuguese Court Determines Illegality of ICF World SUP Championship

At the request of the Portuguese Surfing Federation (FPS), the Portuguese Court of Arbitration for Sport decreed an injunction against the Portuguese Canoe Federation (FPC), ordering it to refrain from organizing, collaborating or giving support to the 2018 ICF Stand Up Paddling World Championship, scheduled for August 30th to September 2nd, in Viana do Castelo and Esposende, and that circumvented the laws of the sport.

Standup for the Cure Returns to Seattle

As Standup for the Cure 501c3 writes fundraising checks to Susan G Komen Orange County, CA and Susan G Komen Michigan they are preparing to bring their unique event to the Pacific Northwest for the 2nd year. After seven successful years, Standup for the Cure, alongside its national sponsors, Boardworks Surf, and Barefoot Wine, announce Standup for the Cure, Seattle to benefit the Puget Sound Affiliate of Susan G. Komen.

2018 Outdoor Retailer Takeaways

In its first ever summer show in Denver, the Outdoor Retailer annual tradeshow brought a lot of changes to the to experience of the show for the SUP (stand up paddle board) industry. Portugal SUP Movement and Law Under Attack by ICF

In a recent announcement made by the International Canoe Federation (ICF) Esposende, Portugal was announced as the location of their inaugural SUP World Championship to be held later this year. Now in a recent turn of events, the Portuguese Surfing Federation has made a statement saying that the ICF and this event will not take place because it is simply against the Portuguese Laws.
