12th Annual SEA Paddle NYC Set For August

On Saturday, August 11, the Surfers’ Environmental Alliance (SEA) will host its twelfth annual SEA Paddle NYC, a grueling 25-mile event that attracts elite athletes and covers the dangerous waters circling Manhattan…all for charity.

Father to Paddle 200 Miles to Raise Awareness for Rare Disease

In July 2016, Rich Wygand’s first child, Luke, was born with a rare genetic disorder causing severe muscle weakness called Nemaline Myopathy (NM). Rich is planning to paddle 200 miles on his stand up paddle (SUP) board from Lake Worth Beach to Key West, Florida in June of 2018 in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the rare disease that affects his son.

Lake Elsinore To Host 3rd Annual Standup To Alzeheimers

Bret Warner started Stand up to Alzheimer’s in 2013 as a way to help cope with his father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Every year he has said he wouldn’t run another one, to which he listened the first time and took two years off, but after several location changes and help from the paddling community we are now a month away from the third event.
